Update: Final Project

Dear all, I've asked the course staff whether working together for the final project is allowed: https://class.coursera.org/strategy101-002/forum/thread?thread_id=348&utm_classid=971029&utm_nottype=class.forum.post&utm_notid=-1&utm_linknum=4#post-2785

the answer was: "Hi, Olia. I would say yes, *if* everyone submits their own work, with their own analysis and their own conclusions. As long as that is true, it's fine to share data about the company and its market and to discuss how each week's material applies to that company.
Summarizing my advice: study together, work alone"

So... Who wants to work together for the final project and possibly also the weekly cases?

Also, I'm not sure if the Follow by Email thing works. Can someone test it out and let me know?

Thanks!

edit: I've added a link to final project requirements under Content on your right

Update 2: Case 1

I've created a discussion topic for the 1st question on the Case 1: https://class.coursera.org/strategy101-002/forum/thread?thread_id=349

Update: Case 1

I've added 2 resources which we can use for Case 1. if anyone can find more, please comment with the links on the Case 1 post and I will add them.

Also, does anyone wants to team-up with for making the cases? I think that micro-groups of 2 people could be an efficient way to start the assignment, and then discuss it with the whole study group on coursera forums.

Purpose of this blog

Okay everyone, lets clarify what the blog is for. This is important.

The blog provides:
- an overview
- ability to sign-up for email notifications of updates
- allows people who can give us tips / hints / suggestions / help with the cases to do so in a place where it can be found
- a place where people can ask for help
- where we can coordinate meeting irl.

The blog is NOT for:
- actual Case discussions. We must use the Coursera forums for that, because 8% of our grade depends on forum participation. BUT, we can provide links to forum topics on the blog, so we can find each other's contributions and make comments

Please comment if you have anything to add.
